today people like a neighbor they've had a long time that they still never met.

A good neighbor is considerate & thoughtful. They'll knock on your door just to ask how you're doing. But they'll also respect your privacy. They'll gladly share what they have, as much as possible. They'll often include you in their fun. They'll bring little gifts, often for no reason. They'll help you any way they can. They'll be your best friends.
