I've never asked that of a woman but the only reason I would think that a guy would ask is maybe she doesn't have a high sex drive, like my wife, and if she plays with herself then she will most likely not be willing when the man returns...if she has a healthy sex drive then I would say who cares if she plays with herself as long as she still wants to be physical regularly with her man. Just my take on it.
