Thank Goodness I decided to sit in my car for a little while in the morning because that evening when I was leaving, I noticed that my car had been hit. The next day, I found her car in the parking lot and she had paint on her bumper, the same color as the paint on my car. My car has silver paint on it's bumper matching the paint on her car and SHE DENIES HITTING MY CAR!! My job has surveillance of the parking lot but are refusing to show me the surveillance. They said the surveillance is not used for that purpose. What can I do?

I walked right to the spot on her car where I expected the damage to be and sure enough, the green paint was on the front drivers side of her bumber where the silver paint was on the rear passenger side of my bumper because it happened while backing out. The height matched exactly. The green on my car is a very dark green, not common on a lot of cars and it was very fresh. I'm sure it was her.

I wasn't sitting in the car. I was able to know which car to look for damage on in the parking lot only because I knew who had parkd next to me in the morning. If I had not sat in the car, I would have never known

the paint can be analyzed but she will probably have smidge if you look closely of your color paint on her car.

i had a similar incident at my workplace. a coworker i did not know saw the accident and left me a note on the window under wipers. they recorded the description of car and the license plate. i called the police department / went to police, made a incident report , they gave me the name of the person who hit the car. i looked the employee up in our directory and called them the next day and simply asked them if perhaps it was an accident .... they denied it all of course. i questioned the employee that left the note to help me. We took a walk to the workstation of the employee in question and he said that he was the description of who was driving the car/ could not have been mistaken. We have a high security in our physical parking , on site work place , so of course we are used to cameras outdoors/indoors. Security was not allowed to release anything that is recorded to anyone short of a subpeona from a judge. The reason they give is that it might compromise the physical security. It was less than a 250.00 dollar deducticle so I ended up just paying it , rather than making a deal, risking my "PR" / image on the job. Yes, I could of taken the employee to small claims court , etc. etc. I still do not think it was "right" , but , it is sort of like the cost of doing business. It's over and I never really think of it. I was not 100 percent sure and didn't need anyone saying I'd treated anyone unfairly. Believe I made the right decision .

File a police report. They can get the surveillance video and they can also do a paint match to see if the paint on her car is the same as is on yours.

Sometimes the police won't investigate on private property but they will write a report. You can file a civil claim (small claims court). Subpoena the video, take pictures of her car with your paint and any damage (use something to reference height and then match it against your car's pictures). The whole thing might cost $150. You don't have to have a lawyer but you need to be smart and try to think like one.

If the marks match in height are in a spot they might have hit while backing out you know that this person is a jerk and not to be trusted at all. Other than that nothing.

DO NOT spread any story at work. KEEP your mouth zipped. They could make real trouble for you if you spread Slander. If you are positive they could have done the damage be satisfied you know the truth and leave it at that.

First-take pictures of your car and her car-where the paint appears. Next call your Insurance Company and file a claim.

Just as long as she didn't try to talk with him, she is not crazy. Just kidding... It is possible. It has happened to me before. I have asked for a sign about the man I was dating. I saw an image of the woman he was cheating on me with up on the windshield. I caught the two of them at the motel on that same night. Same hair style and dress as image on my windshield. So it is possible.

File a police report RIGHT NOW!! they will investigate - she may be charged with hit and run. Also, you will need a report for your insurance company so you can get your car fixed -

Call the police and report it. Do it NOW. Then, Get a lawyer.....HE can get that tape! Then sue the woman.....Make her pay for the repair costs!!! I hope she's not one of your bosses.... But job or not, your car is your asset and that woman messed it up. The silver paint is your evidence......

Call your insurance company and they will get to the bottom of it and get a hold of the tapes. If you were sitting in the car and didn't feel a bump, it might have been someone else who hit you!!

Sorry the same color paint is not evidence that she hit your car.

report the accident to your insurance company.
company security tapes are private property and do not have to be shared with anyone.
