I got surgery on my elbow. it was an ulnar nerve transposition. There were some muscle tissues involved.

I have been rehabbing for a month. But i had to come back to school and i do rehab by myself( with indications from my doctor of course)

I'm looking for ways to generate tissue faster, and reduce the swelling. I have almost no pain, unless I do hard movements. The doctor recommended progressive muscle strenghtening.

PLEASE HELP!!! I want to know of every kind of remedy possible, heerbs, medicine, exercise, massage....just about anything could help

The previous answer sounds good, although I have little experience with the specific remedies mentioned. I would like to add that adequate zinc is important for healing. But don't overdo it -- 25 mg a day is about the maximum, and even that can upset your stomach if you take it all at once and are sensitive to it. But it is a general aid to healing if you can tolerate 25 mg a day. Eating a generaly healthy diet (low in meat and sugar, high in fruits, veggies, and whole grains) is important, too, as is getting some exercise most days (such as a half-hour walk) and keeping a positive attitude.

Aloe vera is great stuff, and you can also take 2-8 ounces of the juice (not gel) daily as a drink. It's a great pain killer/anti-inflammatory but unfortunately is also a laxative, so start with the smaller amount and work up if you can. My mother used it for years as a general pain killer with excellent results, and I'm taking it myself for sore knees right now, and it works extremely well -- better than aspirin or advil for me.

Good luck!

Since you are serious, I will tell you some things that will help you. Get some extra virgin olive oil and the hottest cayenne(chili)powder you can from a reputable herb store. Mix the two together until you have not quite a paste, but very loose. Rub this gently on the surgery area and leave to dry for a half and hour or more. This brings the blood to the surface, which helps heals tears in ligament and scarring. After you rinse it clean, wash your elbow area with a good all-natural herbal soap and rinse by hand. Take an aloe vera piece(small), trim the serrated edges off and peel back the skin. Gently massage the gel onto the skin. Hospitals all over the world, use aloe vera in its natural form to treat burn patients. It quells the burning sensation and helps heal the scarring. I actually know a man that I knew as a kid who was burned over 70 percent of his body and uses aloe vera gel today. His scarring after over 45 years has almost totally disappeared.

keep up the rehab. Massage and other things might help, but it takes time. It was over a year before my elbow was close to normal. Everyone is different and operations do not turn out the same for different people. It was years before my elbow did not hurt like someone was sticking an ice pick in it when ever the weather changed.
