i cant delete it.?

i redownloaded my old zoo tycoon 1 game a couple days ago because i just wanted to play it and see how much better i thought zoo tycoon 2 was than it because ive had #2 for a while now but any way i had to uninstall it because two of the dinosaurs the mamoth and the sabre tooth wouldnt show up like you could buy it but not see it and it would show the name in your animal inventory but you just couldnt see them at all and some of the dinosaur eggs would wiggle but not hatch but i played it for about an hour so i deleted it because i was gonna re install it and see if that would let it be okay but now it wont let me play it and when i try to delete it it says that the file cannot be deleted and now it will come up with the options screen like do you want to play or uninstall and all that but only if you put the cd in not if you try to click on it and if it does come up you can click play but it just exits and dissapears.

Go to Control Panel, click on Ad/Remove, and highlight the item you want to remove and then just remove it.

Have you tried going to add/remove programs, if you havnt click on Zoo Tycoon there and then click uninstall it there.
If you already have, then im sorry i cant help you, the only other thing i can think of is get you full memory sweep of your computer, but that cost some money and a whole lot of time.
