Actually your real estate agent can get that information. However most won't divulge it to you, since it isn't professional. Most of the information exists in public records you can look up.
You can sometimes also get an idea based on tax assessments with you can find from MPAC... http://www.mpac.ca/

Mortgages are a matter of public record...so you can see how much she borrowed for home (this may not be the purchase price keep in mind) by going to your local county clerks office. If she has refinanced on the home since purchasing it or if she has a home equity loan on the house you will not be able to get an accurate picture...Though I am not quite sure what picture you are trying to get...

This will not tell you much...if she bought the house years ago (honestly more than 2) the value on the house has changed...in order to purchase the house you are required by your mortgage company to have an aprasial done...since aprasials are being doen very low right now, it should be an accurate one (as opposed to a few years ago when interest rates were so low that homes were being apraised highly...this has actually caused many homes to depriciate in value).

Zillow.com -- Houses currently in the market are not published with their most recent sale price. You have to wait about a month or so after the house gets sold (after close of escrow and some time for the site to update) to see the current value. This is a pretty neat site. You can see how much your boss' house is!

No. That information, if available, will be at the local land records office. Some of them keep such information and others do not.

Why are you concerned about what the lady paid ?

I'm sure this differs from area to area, but I have seen this information published in major newspapers. In the Sunday real-estate section, they publish the value, address, and last name of the person bought the house. I'm sure you could look through the online version of your newspaper to find this.
