It is now no longer an issue, he is going to the Braves.

The Dodgers will not be getting Dotel. Dotel, himself, stated today that he will traded to the Mariners or Braves. Monday morning, rumors said he was going to the Mariners, but after the Braves agreed to the Teixeira trade, they increased their offer to Kyle Davies from Brent Lillibridge for Dotel. Thus, if the Teixeira deal gets finalized tomorrow, Dotel will go to Atlanta.

The Dodgers, meanwhile, will acquire Scott Proctor from the Yankees. They are still trying to get a starting pitcher like Joe Blanton, but there's very little chance of that happening.

Yes, it would be a great pickup. The Dodgers would only need the starter to go 6 inning then they could bring Broxton on in the 7th, Dotel in the 8th, and Saito in the 9th. They would be unstoppable. I think they would be able to give up 2 young guys.

Seeing that the Dodgers are kind of in need of a guy to get to Saito, it would be a good move.

I wouldn't trust Broxton or Beimel in a big spot. I think Dotel would be an upgrade over either one of those two.

Broxton is still young though and should be given a chance to do well. I would just worry about a young guy like that in the P'off's

It will definitely be a good pick up. The Dodgers bullpen has worked so many innings lately and has had to rely on players like Roberto Hernandez. Anything would be an upgrade compared to him. Unfortunately, it looks like he will be headed to the Braves for Kyle Davies

It will be a O.K. pick up.

Dotel is a some what average reliever.

It depends on who the Dodgers give up for him.
