The average healthy couple only has about a 20% chance each cycle. So just because she didn't get pregnant this month doesn't mean there is something wrong with either of you. You could have timed intercoruse incorrectly or a number of other reasons she didn't get pregnant this month. The best time to get pregnant is about 2 weeks before her next period is due--this is when she is ovulating. Don't have too much sex, this will make your sperm count lower--every other day is optimal. Don't use any lubes--they kill sperm. Man on top is the best position and it wouldn't hurt if she lay still for 20minutes or so after sex.

Have you stopped taking any alcohol, stopped any drugs and put both of you on vitamins and the lady on folic acid??? One month is nothing, it took me 7 years of doing all the right things like everyone else says here. The doctor will not even see you unless you have been trying to get pregnant for 1-2 years and live together. Dont get so stressed up on it and try and relax, once that baby comes along there will be no more time for you both so enjoy it now.

It's rare that a couple conceives in their first month of trying. Technically, there are only about 3 days a month when a woman can get pregnant, and you have to watch for the signs (slight change in body temp, thicker discharge, etc). If you are really trying to get pregnant immediately, look into buying an Ovulation Prediction (OP) kit. It will tell you the best day to try. Otherwise, get an accurate thermometer, and have her take her temp every morning AS SOON AS she wakes up, at the same time. Her temp will go up a few tenths of a degree (98.8 instead of 98.6) when she's ovulating. I wouldn't worry just yet. But if she hasn't gone to the doctor, she might just to get started on vitamins, etc. Good luck!!!

Don't panic, not that many people get pregnant that quickly, it can take several months. Be healthy and positive and enjoy yourselves 'trying', and more than likely you will get a pleasant surprise one day. If after several months or nearer a year you still haven't had any luck then see a doctor. The doctor won't start any treatment or tests till you have been trying for a while anyway, as it is perfectly natural for this process to take a while.

Good luck!

Timing. Just didn't have your sperm there when she was fertile. 10 -14 days after she comes on her period is the time she's fertile.
Why do you want to get her pregnant anyway? If you're only starting to have sex your relationship isn't real old.
Get to know each other properly before you start the pressure of a family.

Sometimes it just takes longer for some women to get pregnant than others. I would suggest to keep on trying since it has only been a month and if that does not work there are many fertility options available. Good luck.

a woman can still have her period when she is pregnant, at least I did the first month. But it was different. I usually have light period and hardly any cramps. This time the cramps were hard and I bled really heavily. Ask your girlfriend if there is any difference in her period....you might find at the end of next month that she is 2 months along.

I wouldn't panic sometimes ( a lot of the time) it takes a few months, it took me and my partner 13 months to fall with our first and 7 months to fall with our second. So relax and enjoy, if in 12 months nothing is happing then go see your doctor.

Good luck!

so you've been trying for a baby for a whole month huh? Sorry, but what's the problem? Anything up to a year is considered normal for fertile couples...you only get one chance a month as well...just give it time!

People try to get pregnant for a long time without sucess...and nothing is wrong...that was only one month.
You need not worry, you probably can get pregnant. Perhaps, you should try birth control until it is the right time.
