Yes, and it's just like Everytown, USA. (I have friends scattered all over the city from Henderson to Summerlin) Once you step away from the Strip, it's as generic as any other place in the country.

I always make time to cruise around the city. Summerlin is very nice. Stop by the JW Marriott and walk the grounds. One of the nicest places in the Valley plus it has trees!

Just east of town is Lake Las Vegas which has a cool little "village" along the lake with shops and restaurants.

Not very far from downtown, the Desert Springs Preserve just opened up and features indoor and outdoor attractions built around the area where the first settlement was.

If you really want to get away from town but not drive 3 hours, a short trip out to Red Rock canyon and the scenic loop around the park is also pretty cool.

Have a great trip!

Yes. A lot of new construction. Nice homes going up all over the place. Las Vegas is the fastest growing city in the US. The only thing I didn't like was that there are hardly no trees. Being from the northest US, I am used to lush landscapes.

No. Why would you go all the way to Las Vegas to see the suburbs? I went to the strip and downtown for the magic shows. I'm going back again soon to repeat.
