Lol one time I was going out to the New England coast and drove through Vermont which is a beautiful state but the capital city Montpelier was the most unusual capital city I've ever seen. It was so small and was like a little hicktown where they looked at outsiders like aliens. Not a very welcoming area to say the least and certainly no attractions etc to bother visiting.

Illinois is boring when you gat away from the Chicago area. North Dakota could be given to Canada without much resistance. However, the most boring state I have been to/through is Nebraska (unless you have a thing for cornfields).
