No, false hope is denial pure and simple.

There is always hope. As far as hopes being false, it seems like the misery of finding out they're false is far worse than if one didn't hope at all. All I can say though, is if your heart needs the light of hope, then it is better to try and fail than never try at all. We are human, and the love and light of our hearts is a wonderful thing, even if nothing really seems to come from it.

It depends on the situation. Sometimes hope is all that is needed to get through a tough time. Even if it is a false hope. Yet, hope can sometimes be used so that one doesn't have to face the facts.

hmm depends. Sometimes false hope can lead to you being aggrivated and motivated to do something instead of falling on hope. But i think i rather not have a false hope because i want to face the truth. Sometimes its also so frustrating after that false hope, that you'll go crazy?

No hope is false to the person who holds it. Even if everyone around says there is no hope, to the one who hopes, their hope is true.

The real trick in life is to go on after realizing the hoped-for event is not going to come true. And to go on in the hope of something better.

I don't think so. If it's false hope, you're just setting yourself higher up to fall a greater distance. If you have no hope, for good reasons anyway, you at least know what's coming and can prepare for whatever it may be.

Yes. False hope is not false until after the situation has fallen through, and at that time, you can actually handle it as it is upon you. Until then, wish upon a star.

Yes, because at the time, you don't know it's false. There is no life without hope.

hope can not be false ..you either have it or you don't..only the outcome of what you hoped for can be false..also, the only way you know hope is useless is when you know what you're hoping for is not realistic and can not happen.

I would say yes, it is, but ONLY if you really believe it. If you know its false, then no. But if you don't know, wouldn't that make the hope real? This is a tricky question!!
