not surprising. I'm just waiting for nanotechnology devices used within the brain,

like.....

epigenetic sleep/memory/REM pattern regoniction recreated to live within generations of birds and to transmit as well.

It is interesting and more than mildly unsettling. The U.S. did some experiments during WW II using bats with tiny incendiary devices until a bunch of them were accidentally released at an Army base. Firefighters were standing by, but the first thing to burn down was the water tower. The device attachments were made so that the bats could find a dark place and chew through the harnesses.

How much more effective would that be if you could actually control where the weapon carrier was going?

Well, the applications are endless -- of course, pigeons are just the starting point! Think of what will happen when they do this with dogs, horses . . . and, of course, humans. That WOULD most likely be the end result, don't you think? Actually, probably it is just research into the relationship between stimulus and motor response in an effort to make more efficient robots and artificial intelligence, but it doesn't hurt to be totally paranoid once in a while! LOL!
