If you put 2 different pokemon but they are male and female will they make an egg in the day care center?

You have to check if they are in the same egg group for example if you mate a male Salamance witch is in the monster egg group with a female dragonite that is also in the monster egg group you should get a dratini. Check out http://pokemon.marriland.com/ and check the pokedex it will say what egg group a pokemon is in.

No. They have to either be a male and a female of the same Pokemon, or Any Pokemon with a Ditto, but keep in mind, that no matter what, you can't mate Legendaries. Or they can be in the same breeding categories, but that just gets confusing.

Get a pokemon that knows Rapid Spin (Squirtle) and make sure it is male. Then use that Shellder (FEMALE!!!) and put it in the daycare. The egg SHOULD have a shellder that knows rapid spin. Hope I Helped!!! ^_^ teehee ^.^

yes....but they have 2 b the same type of pokemon.and wen u do get an egg....u gota check up on the day care guy out front. he'll give u the egg. but if he carries 2 many eggs at once and u dont come 2 pick em up....he'll eat them! ='l i know it is sad..its happened 2 me b4....=(

Well, I am pretty sure that they can happen like for instant a skitty with a wailord will work. But it won't always work with cetain pokemons. I am not sure which ones.
