When your mom first had you it was her responsibility to support you in terms of food, shelter and clothing. Anything that she "spent" on you isn't supposed to be given back to her as if it was compensation. If you're currently with your aunt then child support should go to that nice lady.

Hi my Dear, it depends where do you live. and how your parents made contract with your aunt to take care of you.
in California usually money goes to whoever supporting you. as a matter in a fact your mother should pay child support for you too. Your mother is wrong, thinking that the money goes to her because she spend to much money on you when you use to live with her. Every parents do that. parents don't hand their child a bill after they are 18. I don't know why your father pays child support to your mother knowing that you are living with your aunt. Anywhere you live you my contact department of Family and Children Services and they help you figure out.

I hate to sound blunt...but the $ should go to your Aunt or whoever has been taking care of and providing for you! What has your Mom done to claim that money? You can go to court and state just that....the fact that your Aunt has been providing a roof over your head and food on the table should be the one that gets the support....from BOTH your parents! They should be made to split equally the amount that is due for your support and pay it to your Aunt. Good Luck!!

Child support ALWAYS belongs to the CHILD. Whoever is actually paying for items considered support should receive any support payments being made. Your aunt should petition the court to receive any support payments.

Support money is meant for just that the support of the child in question, to take care of their needs not the mothers. Contact the support people and explain your situation the money should be going to you not to your mom

As the others have stated the money belongs to the household where you are living full time. What your mother is doing is fraud. Let your father know what is going on. Your aunt can also file paperwork but may be unwilling if she is your mother's sister.

Child support is supposed to go to whoever you are living with. It is to support the child in the present..not pay for previous debts....however, the divorce decree can say X person gets the support and if it is not change in court then it stands

The child support should be going to your aunt. The money is for YOUR support, not your mothers.

Your aunt can go to court and have the support payments sent to her - or contact your father and have him mail the payments directly to your aunts house.

Your mother is stealing.

Call your state and tell you Dad. The child support belongs to the person raising you. Take your mother to court. Call a lawyer. Call the child welfare office in your area. While you're at it divorce your mother.
