Today I got a job offer to go to Cebu, Phillipines to work at a call center. They are offering me a monthly salary between $600 - $1000 + a place to live, one meal and free snacks and beverages at the office. I want to know if this salary is ok for living there.

Also I would like to know if you know the company Call Tek Center, and how is it working there.

I would appreciate your answers about this.

the salary is quite high already. if you are single, then that would be enough. the cost of living is lower in cebu than in manila. i recently just got back from my 2-month work assignment in cebu and i love it there...

will you at least ask them where they are going to accommodate you? if it's in the city or mandaue, then you're good. at least you'll be near the malls. most of my expenses when i was there was on transpo as i am not familiar with the place so i had to take the taxi from mactan to the city everytime i went out.

i am sorry but i haven't heard of call tek center. i do know though that there are these call centers in cebu: people support, sykes, convergys...

That's great!! I live in Cebu, and I am telling you that is a great job offer. The Salary is more than ok for living in Cebu.

I've never heard of Call Tek Center though.

But seriously, that offer is so good whether you have kids or not.

In my Opinion, grab the job.

Enough for a decent life in Cebu. Some of my friends there do not even earn that much.

you can survive even if your salary is in minimum wage.
just think of the prices of food on the street.
puso (hanging rice) = P2 only. P1 in carbon market.
pork barbecue = P5 per stick
ice water = P1 per plastic.
...burp! busog! ^^
