Never pay any one an agent or manager up front. Agents should charge about 10% of what you make for everyone job you do

They cost years of preparation, experience and study by those who want representation. To learn how to get an agent get a copy of The Tao of Acting, Mentoring for the Aspiring Actor by writing to kencosp@aol.com You can also get free advice about anything to do with acting at this address.

Agents don't cost. They take their income from the jobs they get you.........anywhere from 10%-20%.

RUN if an agent wants to charge you.

You shouldn't have to pay them. However usually you have to pay lots to get a really good portfolio before they'll take you. They might also take a cut of the money you make in the jobs they hook you up with. But any agencies with upfront fees are SKETCHY, don't go with them, because there's no guarantee they won't just take your money and not get you any work!

the agencies that you should go to like Ford and Click pay you. NEVER PAY AN AGENCY! With Ford, all you need to do is get a friend to take 4 good pics of you, you don't need a professional picture.
