Yes, I do believe in the "No gut, No glory thing!"
To me it means either you have the guts to forge ahead and pursue the things that you want or your going to be sitting on the side lines of life feeling sorry for your self.
We must take action to be able to have what we want, to have our dreams come true. When we take action we will see our dreams come true and we will enjoy the results of our actions. That's the Glory!
If we do nothing and it just shows us that we have no guts to take the action to make things happen, so we will feel like a failure. That's the no Guts!

From a mother's point of view, I think it is a 6th sense that is not used as much as the other 5. I have had experiences with this gut instinct, which has led me to evidence that would bring me to a resolution towards the "feeling" I felt. Sometimes it wasn't the answer I wanted to face.

you got the meaning right. it implies that if we want to achieve high goals we must have the guts to go for it and give it all we got, only than is there a chance of success at the same time we must be prepared to accept the risk of failure and in case of the later happening start all over again. also can mean "GOD helps those who help themselves". in sum it would be right to say 'there are no free lunches'. good luck and god bless

I would agree with that.
Like making a speech in from of people - that would be tough for me because I hate public speaking. But by getting the guts to go through with it, I might actually loose my fear while learning to enjoy speaking to masses of people.

It's one of the most popular 'brain washing' arguments to make young (inocent) soldiers march towards certain death, with a quasi-smile on their face. Needless to say, it was invented by the military.

Yeah, in a sense; you can't expect to achieve greatness if you're not willing to take a risk.
