Although some liberals may be misguided and do anything to achieve their goals, why is does that mean that all liberals should be grouped with them?
Although all liberals share a name, liberal, why does that mean that all people who consider themselves liberals have to be grouped with the one's that are be misguided and do anything to achieve their goals?
Is it fair to condemn a whole group of people simply because of the political school of thought that they believe in?

Sweetpea- Liberal is not a political party, it is a mindset. Like a poster said befoe you, there are many diverse opinions. Unlike the Democratic or Republican party, there is no "party platform" for liberals. Many liberals disagree with each other on issues. Being liberal does not mean you agree with everything every other liberal does.

This whole concept of "bad liberals" was created by right-wingers who wanted to unite their base and have a boogie man to criticize. Most of the things said about liberals are not even true. Some of them are true about a small percentage of liberals and not the rest. One thing about liberals is they do not march in lock-step; in other words, they have many differing opinions on most subjects. That's why it's so hard to get a consensus of liberals! So to say "all liberals think this or that" is downright ridiculous.
Unfortunately, enough people are taken in by O'Reilly and Rush and Hannity that they believe this stuff and don't bother to check it out for themselves. Aren't there any actual live liberals in their towns that they could talk to??

To group at least half of the country under one label and say they are all alike is a sign that the authenticity of any statements made covering this whole group completely lacks validity. I'm surprised at how many people seem to be taken in by this. Liberals are all individuals just as conservatives are. Some we're proud of and some we're not so proud of.

It is like the radical right being lumped together with the fundamentalist Christians. Not all righties are radical any more than all lefties are radical. I believe most people hover around the center but it is the radical fringes we hear yelling the loudest. Maybe they feel they have to yeal because they are so far on the fringe that normal speaking would not be heard.

Because people will use any method they can to get other people to agree with them. Even if it means calling all liberals terrorists or hate freedom because of one guy.

Yes, as you have a choice to be associated with groups in this country. It's not like in Iraq where you had to belong to the bath party or you had no rights, or Nazi Germany where you either joined the party or you died. So when you voluntarily belong to a group you are saying you agree with its beliefs and policies.

of course it isn't. It isn't fair to condemn any whole group of people.
It is easy though to just spout off something like "All you libs/cons/dems/reps are just the same" and then add to it whatever thing that irks you about one particular member of that group.
Sadly I think we're all guilty of doing that at some point or another.

There was a time when Liberals had redeemable qualities (i.e. they didn't side with terrorists), but those qualities are shunned by today's Liberals.
