how do I fix/sew a hole on the seam?

the hole is an inch wide.. and I dont want it to look stupid. I dont really know how to sew so if anyone knows of some good online guides for beginers that would be helpful. :D

Just take the garment to a dry cleaning establishment that does repairs or a seamstress/tailor and ask how much it would cost. If you really value the garment, it's the best way to get it fixed w/o it being noticeable.
