my notebook computer will not connect at home!! i leave work in 45 min. would like to have to solved by then.

First, I will not connect directly.
Secondly, you need to work at work.
Thirdly, you have a configuration problem. Make sure you use the same configuration that you set up on the router on the pc and that you have the MAC address loaded onto the router if you are using MAC address security as you should be. Make sure the preshare key is properly entered, etc.
Always configure a wireless device with a wired connection. Work your way through it.

You will need your SSID and any connection passwords at home. Once you have that information, you should be able to configure the wireless adapter to connect.
Otherwise, make sure your wireless adapter is turned on with the laptop. Mine has a button that lights blue when turned on.. Saves battery when turned off, but then the wireless adapter doesn't funciton.. :)
