Redstaters are against health care? That's a news flash.
Now they may be against being forced to pay for other people's health care. They may be against gov't run health care.
Hey, here's a new and exciting idea. What if people actually paid for their own health care, instead of always looking for someone else to pay for it?
In what portion of the Constitution or biblical stone tablet was it written that taxpayers, or employers for that matter, must pay for other people's health care?
Do you think that maybe if we all had to pay for our own, with some catastrophic health care insurance policy once we've hit a certain limit, that maybe we'll actually shop around for appropriately priced health care? Do I need a full blow MD to stitch up my cut and give me a tetanus shot? Maybe I could go to a local injury clinic that handles such cases much cheaper?
The point is, the system is sick because market forces are absent from health care. The problem won't be solved by making other's pay for it. It will only be solved when we are paying for our own.

no but every federal worker deserves what they want..you people are to get behind them in line for Cipro to fight anthrax..the police will evacuate them first..
then it might be your turn or it might not..if it is like new orleans where the cops took care of themselves..I am sure Gov't Drs will run to save their own hide after the elites are taken care of...so why worry about children or Nascar fans...Mr Bigot??

Like hundreds of thousands of other Americans, I pay for my family's healthcare. So if you wasted all your money on Ipods, Iphones, Itunes, Sony Playstation III's, concert tickets, movie tickets, fast food, cigarettes, alcohol, and bling bling, why should that be MY problem?

My tax dollars already go to support the sick kids of parents too lazy to work.. it's called welfare. When my kids get sick, i simply take them to the doctor, and pay for their medical care like any descent person should.
