Does anyone know if there are any ghost/spiritual events tied to this area? I have heard some people say they feel a kind of oppression when they're in or even driving through this area.

I only found a little about Williamsport, not sure what the surronding areas are, but this is what I found. If you clikc the link, there are tons of listings
Williamsport - Allison's Grave - in south side near Duboistown on Mosquito Valley Road. Woman who was killed in plane crash who was decapitated is often seen, her head was never found.

The only mysterious thing I've heard about Wms.pt. is that there was a case of death that was reported as spontaneous human combustion. I believe it took place in the 1960's. I don't know where you'd find any info about this now. I heard it from a resident many yrs. ago.
