I have in the past only listened to my heart and I made a lot of bad decisions. Then I tried to make decisions with just my mind but I still was not making the right choices. Now i have learned to make decisions with my heart and mind and I have finally accomplished all the things I have been looking for and my life for the first time is going great and life is wonderful.
My heart and mind are finally very happy. :)

Mind. For your heart only tells you what you want to hear- that everyone, everything is alright, going to be okay. When the mind tells it realistically. Besides you can always rely that your mind will tell the truth, won't sugar coat anything. Sounds harsh but your hearts just wants to rely on it's feelings, not the situation.

Being a former contractor and, handling a lot of cash plus so much riding on a job, I always make my decisions with my tongue in cheek and have a plan "B" for emergencies, I've had to use plan "B" several times.

A person that just goes in a dives into something is temporarily insane unless they have nothing to lose.

I find that listening to my mind makes me miss out on things. When I listen to my mind, I tend to have regrets. I found that if your heart is really, truly telling you something, it has to be the right thing to do.

If the decision is as important as you say, then you have to use both your logic and emotions. Sometimes what the right thing logically to do is not what is best for you emotionally and vice versa. Asking advice from a person who is not involved or affected by your actions is wise.
