Im 23 years old, and usually have the feeling like my brain needs oxygen. I get the feeling of tiredness, exhaustion, light headedness when I try to exercise, and just an overall uncomfortable feeling.

I get plenty of sleep and rest, about 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night, uninterrupted, not that much stress in my life or job, I just have a constant feeling of grogyness, which makes my job difficult, makes it so that I cant workout or train my MMA, cant even study to learn something new.

Also I get plenty of water, eat healthy and regularily, plenty of calories, protein, carbs. Also take daily vitamins and a good ginko biloba formula.

Anyone have any advice other than going to see a doctor, if thats your only advice please dont answer to the question, I plan on going when I have more money. Just looking to see if someone else has experienced this, and what they did to fix it for the time being. Thanks everyone.

deep breathing exercises will increase the oxygen to the body and brain. I've enclosed a link where you can learn how to do this.

Also the supplement Spiulina is very good for Feeding the brain adequate nutrition. the brain needs 85 percent of your nutrition and usually only receives fifteen percent. I think you will feel better by doing these two different modalities.

You have some kind of uneasyness.
By the way nothing shows that your brian needs oxyzen.
I see that anything you see and watch, you come to the decision too fast.
Like your question above , you saw some kind of uneasyness. And you came to a decision that your brain needs Oxyzen.
If there was no oxyzen or less oxyzen , you wouldnt be writing your question here.
Try to get tired mentally , Physically everyday in sensible stuffs.
Have a company of 4-5 freinds.
If you dont , then join a group of 4-5 people, or your colligues.
Talk about some topic. It could be a funny topic, or a serious one.
Keep your self busy.
Never pile up your work, it makes you more lazy.
Do your work at prompt and in time.
When you are less busy, play some puzzles.
Hope it helps.

If you have generalized weakness and fatigue along with other symptoms, evaluate those symptoms. Home treatment for your other symptoms usually will improve your weakness and fatigue.

Be sure to drink extra fluids to avoid dehydration.

Listen to your body.

Alternate rest with exercise. Gradually increasing your exercise may help decrease your fatigue.

Limit medicines that might contribute to fatigue. Tranquilizers and cold and allergy medications often cause fatigue.
Improve your diet.

Eating a balanced diet may increase your energy level. Do not skip meals, especially breakfast.

Reduce your use of alcohol or other drugs, such as caffeine or nicotine, which may contribute to fatigue.

Cut back on watching television. Spend that time with friends, try new activities, or travel to break the fatigue cycle.

Get a good night's sleep. This may be the first step toward controlling fatigue.
Eliminate all sound and light disturbances.
Do not eat just before you go to bed.
Use your bed only for sleeping. Do not read or
watch TV in bed.

Get regular exercise during the day (but not within 3 hours of bedtime).

- Symptoms to Watch For During Home Treatment

New symptoms develop along with the weakness and fatigue.
Depression or anxiety increases despite home treatment.
Symptoms of weakness or fatigue increase despite home treatment.
Symptoms do not improve after 4 weeks of home treatment.
Symptoms become more severe or more frequent.

You may need to do some breath training, especially for MMA. Most people "short-breathe" or in other words they don't exhale all of the carbon dioxide out of their lungs before inhaling clean air. If that is the case you would become hypoxic and experience the groggyness you are talking about. Train yourself to exhale deeply (not only inhaling deeply)

The only thing that I can suggest is to start taking a good multivitamin. Maybe there is something that is off balance in your body and if so, the vitamins should help. But do get to the doctor when you have the money.

Don't take this wrong, there is a reason for it. Are you overweight? Sometimes sleep apnea can cause problems without you even knowing it.
