The C section of my hard drive is pretty full, and I've deleted all the programs I don't use or need. I have moved others to the D section, which has lots of RAM available.
Can I safely move the folder "Program Files" which is about 3.0 GB to D and still have the programs function?
Thanks for any help.
Or is there any way, to increase the size of my 'temp' folder?
I'm having burning some movies to the DVD-RW disk.
thanks again.

You should not move or remove anything in Program Files manually. Use Add/Remove program in your control panel. Instead of moving your Program Files folder, move things like big movie files, music, documents to D drive. By moving your program files to D drive, most of your programs won't run because they r not linked.
Plus, if you want to install programs in your D drives in the future, make sure you enter the loacation you want your program to be installed. by deafault, any program you install will be installed in C:\Program Files.

in case you reformatted yourpersistent considering the fact which you had an outbreak, you nevertheless have the virus - you moved it topersistent D including your documents. shifting it decrease back (or having access to contaminated information) will in undemanding terms reinfect the laptop. If a report has an outbreak and it won't be in a position to be bumped off, the only treatment is to reformat thepersistent that the report is on, commencing with the CD contained in thepersistent and the laptop grew to become off for a jiffy.

You might also want to move any media files to the D Drive, as they are probably taking up more space than your software.

Music, photos, MOVIES!, etc
