I really like this name, but I'm not sure how to spell it. It sounds like "Kay - Lynn". But "Kaylynn" looks like too many y's to me. Kaylen looks like a boys' name to me. Kaylin looks kinda funny...any other spelling ideas?

My oldest daughter is Kaelyn. :o) There is also a girl in the neighborhood named Caelyn.

Kaylin looks more like a girl's name. As a teacher, please make sure you really love the spelling. Weird spelling of names does put a stigma on your daughter if she is not a well-behaved child in school. Kids can be cruel too.

Well, I agree that this child will always have to correct someone, " No not Kaitlyn, it's Kaylin".
It's not the worst name I've heard around here, but geez folks....Give all your unborn children a freakin' break. Name them something that they can be proud of as they mature into adulthood. Something that they can have a serious job with. Something that doesn't sound like a stripper!!!!!!!!!!!

No matter how you spell it, your daughter is going to get lumped in with all the Kaitlynn's (and the 15 different spellings of that name) out there. Do her a favor and pick a less trendy name.

I personally like the hyphen Kay-Lynn also, Kailyn and Kaelyn ... lol.... spell check suggests kaylyn
