My eyes are a shade of brown that if they are hit by the sun just right they look like a mahogany red color.

Did this come from my A re golden eyes? It's OK if it did. My eyes are a true golden brown, but I'm not happy withat. My dad's eyes were absolute gold, a warm gold. Even in old age, his eyes were clear & sharp, like an eagle. It's a color you never see. I was in a checkout line in a store last year, & the clerk had golden eyes. So rare & beautiful. I can only hope you have the eye of an artist. The anniversary of Van Gogh's death was only a few days ago. He only sold 4 paintings in his life. Be kind. Bye.

Naturally they are very dark brown, my mom describes them as $h!t brown, which I suppose they are, there's no other colour in them. But I do have green contacts that make my eyes green with a hint of brown.

Light brown with some yellow near the middle. I also have some dark spots (like beauty marks) in my iris. I've been told its pretty rare, but my dad and grand-dad also had spots, they were lucky enough to have blue eyes.
