Imagine a normal baseball cap. But this hat is not rounded at the top. The sides are a bit more squarish and the top is more flat. but the front is almost the same... just not as curved. The closest this I could find to it was this...

The names of these two hats are often interchanged. Newsboy caps or apple caps. If the hat is flatter, it could be considered a golf cap. If these hats don't look like the one you are describing please advise. Hope this helps though!

EDIT:
Someone suggested engineer caps.. are you looking for an army cap then?

Ive heard them called paperboy hats from when young boys used to stand on streetcorners and sell newspapers. they wore hats like that
