i need some answers on what i should do with my apartments manager.the ac is not working properly. she says its brand new but when i had gotten my light bill it was very high. what should i do...

first i would check and see what some of my neighbors electric bill runs.. like most folks have said ac does cost a lot to run. also have you change the filter -- a dirty filter will add to the cost.

AC units use a lot of electricity. If you don't like the cost, don't use it.

Try www.lawguru.com. They have lawyers that volunteer to answer questions and they are sorted by state and practice area.

ask the manager to fix to the ac or let them know you'll ask HUD (hud.gov) for help in the matter.

ask if its a community bill, a lot of buildings do that.. its where everyone in the whole building spilt everyones bill
