Very much so. But then again I was a server myself all through college and even for a few summers after. I guess once you have worked as a server you start to understand how the tips are truly the way we made money. We didn't even get payed minimum wage.... PLUS we had split 10% with the rest of the employees and declare another 10% for taxes. Soooo all in all, if we didn't make good tips...... we almost couldn't say it was worth working at all. So each time I go to a restaurant..... I alwasy keep those things in mind. Yes..... I'm, therefore, a very generous tipper!!

Maybe I may over tip because when I worked my way through College as a waiter, i would get a dollar (if I was lucky) on a $95,00Dollar Dinner tab, and sometimes nothing One couple had the nerve to tell me how good a waiter I was and thanked me for my service but told me they did not tip, since I was being paid to do my job.

Yes, even if the service isn't great, I'll tip atleast 10-15% but if the service is good, then more! I used to wait tables and it's hard work so I always appraciate the work. Service has to totally be super crappy for me to leave less than 10%

Very...as long as the service is decent. Otherwise, I still tip fairly well, just not as good as if I had great service. Maybe they were just having a bad day, and some of the things are not their fault, unless they are rude or lazy.

Yes, I am. I usually tip between 20 and 25% at restaurants.
When I buy coffee I always leave a dollar tip, even when I'm getting a free one.

Not particularly - I generally tip a little over 10% in restaurants - but I think that is probably more or less the norm in this country (I am in the UK).

For me it totally depends on the service. If the service was good then the tip is good. If the service is bad you are lucky to get a tip at all.

Oh yes, I give at least 30%-50%, depending on the amount and the service I recieved. If im at denny's and the bills only $15.00 I'll give about $10.00. If its like $40.00, i'll give about $10-15.00
