What are your thoughts on people who abuse children, abuse the elderly, and abuse handicapped people?

Where to start? They are horrible people. Abusing people who can't defend themselves is such a vile thing to do. They should receive what they inflict to others. They should also pay retribution for the rest of their lives to their victims because the victims will most likely suffer from their abuse for the rest of their lives.

Who ever is doing the abusing is responsible. Usually it is a parent or an adult who abuses a child. When it comes to abuse of the elderly, sometimes this happens in elderly homes for disabled and sick seniors. Or it sometimes happens that an adult child cannot deal with a parent who may be getting senile, for instance, or has become disabled. Whatever the reason for abuse, whether it be abuse of a child or a senior, the abuser should get therapy and taken out of the environment of being able to abuse the child or senior. Abuse is not acceptable in any form, and should be dealt with immediately somebody knows what is happening.

Since I am a twin of a mentally challenged brother I am very sensitive to this issue. I have also witnessed first hand a man abuse his newborn baby (I walked in on it just as he was doing it). I had to go to court as a witness & I would do it all over again to protect a child, as well as an elderly person or a handicapped person. The people who abuse, I just don't understand them. I don't believe alot of them can be rehabilitated. There may be a few who can be rehabilitated, but very few at best.....I think they need to be locked up & be Bubba's new girlfriend!

But, you forgot the girls that work in the Magdalene Laundry.

Our Laws are so watered down, that the sad part is that people who do these horrible things get a slap on the wrist with a "Tut tut. do not do this anymore"/ People who hurt children, the elderly, the disabled and those who cannot help themselves should be incarcerated for life in solitary confinement. In the throw away society in which we live, those individuals should disappear once and for all.

I think they should all be beaten in return. There is a huge huge difference in child abuse and dicelpine. And if you are scolding your children that is one thing. If are beating them hurting them you should be beaten to the same degree, you break a bone, they break the same one on you, then you get to go to jail with out medical treatment, because your child didn't get medical treatment for what you did to them. So i'd say i'm pretty much an eye for an eye kind of person. i think all criminals should be punished that way. you rape, you get raped then tossed in jail. enjoy! i'm sure this veiw iwll piss a few off today. lol.

Well i have a suggestion that would take care of that little problem.
Tie them to the inside of a corral. strip the men naked and let a couple of hungry calves loose on them
women hog tie them that are abusers with apple in their mouth and through them in the hog lot and let them root around in the mud for a day or two with the pigs............. a beauty treatment and attitude adjusment at the same time.........

Well they should be in prison and there receive therapy . After they have received therapy , they should do an ongoing role in the taking care of children , the elderly and the handicapped with of course supervision to avoid future incidents.
