John Cleese did pretty well I believe, he once paid a fine in court for my son who was a penniless student at the time, although they never met afterwards, it was just a kind act and he went up in my estimation for that.

Money?
Money?
Who needs money?

They all live in a cave half-way up a mountain in Stockwell, London.

Not many people know that there are any caves in Stockwell, London.

In fact you would be surprised how few people have even noticed there is a mountain in Stockwell, London.

This is why they all chose this particular cave - they won't be bothered there.

When they are hungry they just climb down the mountain and bop the first passing elephant on the head and carry it back up the mountain on their shoulder and barbecue it on a spit.

Have you ever tasted barbecued elephant?
No?
It's not very nice.
This is why all the cavemen say "Ug"

I don't know who has made the most in their whole career but Eric Idle probably made the most out of the Python stuff. As well as performing and writing scripts along with the rest of them, he wrote the original songs and would get extra royalties for those.

They're all minted - even Terry Gilliam has directed hollywood movies - And all he did was the animation on Monty Python

I think it was indeed that most wretched and foul beast that dwells alone in the Caves at Kaierbannaugh. The bones of four-and-twenty men lie scattered about it's lair. Empty pockets now-the lot of them, I'd wager.
Foul little hopping beast!

Not sure, but if Eric Idle gets royalties each time they play the theme tune to "One Foot in the Grave" (he sings it), then he's not short of a bob or two.

Michael Palin's my favourite too... I think he's done very well for himself with all his travel shows and books, that must have brought the money in. I can't remember any of them disclosing their earnings though, so who knows for sure? Other than them?
