When someone deletes Q/A simply because they don't AGREE with them or they only want to SILENCE you so your point of view cannot be HEARD?
Are people so SENSITIVE and easily OFFENDED that they have to make sure NOBODY SAYS anything that they don't agree with?
ISN'T THAT PATHETIC?
All of you out there who have had your questions and answers deleted for no apparent reason other than someone wanted to SHUT YOU UP know exactly what I'm talking about?
Isn't that TRESPASSING on your RIGHTS to FREEDOM OF SPEECH?
If you think it is let me know!

I'm talking about deleting stuff that isn't even offensive or against Community Guidelines.
And Full Gospel Shirley is right.
There are people who come onto this forum just to argue with people who share a different point of view.
Is that what this forum is really all about?
Why would an Atheist go onto a site where people of faith will be sharing their beliefs only to cause problems for them?
Is that fair?
No it isn't.
It just seems to me like there are people who know they can get away with harassing others by interfering with what they are doing and so they do it just because they can.
I have reported abuse but only because it had vulgarity and profanity and wasn't fit for minors to view.
But I think that's what that option was originally intended for.
But it is being abused by snot nosed uptight mean people who have nothing else better to do but to make others as miserable as they themselves are.
Something should be done about that.

Yes, those not of God want to shut us up. I just had a note from a fella on here. He is athiest and he comes on here all the time to mock God and christians. And of course, i state my opinion also, as we are all allowed to do. He just wrote to me and told me he doesnt want to hear about God and to be silent and keep my opinionso to myself. Why is he allowed to mock us on a religious site and then when I respond tell me to shut up? Wazzzup with this picture folks. If he doesnt want to hear about God, why is He on this site? He can go to an athiest site, right? He calls me stupid and stuff, but how stupid is it to go to a site where they talk about God and complain he hears about God. The Bible says to call no man a fool, so I wont. BUt, God says a fool is a man that wont follow Him. I rest mycase.

When someone deletes Q/A simply because they don't AGREE with them or they only want to SILENCE you so your point of view cannot be HEARD? - Someone does not delete your Q/A, Yahoo does. They do so because your rant or what ever violates the community guidelines.
Are people so SENSITIVE and easily OFFENDED that they have to make sure NOBODY SAYS anything that they don't agree with? - Some probably are. However, if you stay with in the community guidelines your Q/A will not get deleted.
ISN'T THAT PATHETIC? - See above
Isn't that TRESPASSING on your RIGHTS to FREEDOM OF SPEECH? - Nope. Y!A is the property of Yahoo. They can set any condition to access they want. The first amendment does not apply in this situation as Yahoo is not a government agency.
Y!A is not a place for debate, it is a place to ask questions and get answers. There is an implication that the questions asked here should have answers.

I have had a question removed recently where i was seeking help on behalf of another. It really bugged me and at first i was a bit baffled. After careful considerations, i realized that what had happen was just a matter of what i agreed to when i first decided to join this site. So to be really honest, it does hurt but i guess its fair.
It can only be a violation of free speech when it is done under informal conditions where no contract is signed or agreed upon to do so in any given case. However, if you agree to comply with certain terms, and you go against this by posting a question that is in essence a contradiction to what was agreed upon, then the partner to whom that agreement was made reserves the right to delete this question.
God bless you

Why do you think that you have the right to free speech anywhere you like. This is a privately owned Enterprise. Guess what. You come to my house and I don't like what you are saying I'll show you the door. Have I violated any of your rights? Of course not.
Oh, perhaps you're referring to the first amendment. It does say something like, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech" but of course we're talking about Q/A here making rules not congress making laws huh?

No, and yes. Technically it is limiting free speech, but that's not always wrong. There are several cases where the supreme court has decided that certain kinds and types of speech can be limited. ie hate speech, inflammatory speech, casing panic etc.
Also...you may have waived some of your "rights" when you agreed to the end user license agreement for Yahoo

People can't delete anything. Only the administrators can delete posts, and they only do it when it violates the Yahoo TOS. Furthermore, freedom of speech only applies to government action, and Yahoo isn't owned by the government.

Nope. Sorry, you can stand on a streetcorner and say what you want, but this forum allows censorship. It is sad that these people can't debate the issue rather than delete the Q/A.

"Isn't that TRESPASSING on your RIGHTS to FREEDOM OF SPEECH?"
No it is not.
Yahoo is a business, and can make whatever rules they want regarding availability and use of their "product".
