On June 5, 2007 it was announced that Warner Bros. have optioned the rights to make a CGI animated feature film based on the ThunderCats cartoon. It will be an origin story expanding on the events of the first episode. The script has been written by Paul Sopocy and will be produced by Paula Weinstein (of Blood Diamond fame) and an entry now appears at IMDB.

I never heard anything about a live action Thundercats movie being made. Is that what you mean?
If so, then they really need to do one of the cartoon C.O.P.S. Desperately.
