May i safely attach the lines of Mic&Speaker of a phoneset directly to PC's audio ?

I want to make a connection between my phone and my computer so i can mix an IPvoice call with a traditional call over my fixed phone. Can i Connect the wires from the phone to the soundcard's mic and headspeaker without any risk of destroying the soundcard ???
