CTS stands for coolant temperature sensor a.k.a. the ECT sensor (engine coolant temperature)

ah, that one, it's in the plastic thermostat housing and probably won't come out without running the treads, a new housing is around $300 unless you can repair it.

well that's in my 4.0, not sure about the 4.6 but might be the same

On or near the thermostat housing or in the coolant passage on the intake manifold. There are two coolant temp sender for the dash gauge and one sensor for the engine controls.

CTS (coolant temp sensor) is located in the neck of the water pump. ... Be very careful, it's fragile and the threads ruin quite easily.
