I was just wondering because if my iPhone is like half way full and I'm going somewhere the next day, then I want it to be fully charged for it to last through that whole next day.

Okay here is what they tell me whenever I get a new phone and what they tell everyone I know when they get a new phone.
The first time you use your iPhone, let the phone go until the battery dies completely then charge it from there. From then on, you can charge it whenever, weather the battery is dead, half-full, or almost completely charged. It wont damage you battery.
Yeah? There ya go!

Most batteries made these days are the type you can refill. The days of the batteries you would have to drain completely are not used in something like a cell phone anymore. You should be fine, but if your in doubt contact your service provider and ask for technical help.

No it is perfectly alright to charge it before its dead. as matter of fact it is incouraged. the best time to charge it is at room temperture. you get the best charge from a wall socket. do not charge it in your car while it hot. your phone can get quite warm while charging. so a hot iphone can can give you problems down the line.

In new batteries it doesn't make any problem if you charge them when they are half way.
and remember this:iPhone has a bug which when battery is fully charged, it shows it half way, then it can damage your battery(over charging),so, you should count yourself how many hours its charging.
