Because it is 1/10 of the price that Haliburton wanted to charge them for blood.

I am quite sure that the keeping of that blood costs money. The Red Cross probably receives money to cover that cost from the Military!

Contact the Red Cross and talk to some people there, I can't see how or why they would do this, but somestimes the truth is stranger that fiction.
