One of the greatest coaches of all time, and probably the best coach of all time. He completely changed the 49ers, and the entire NFL. Condolences to his family. Thank You Bill Walsh.

He truly was a great coach and person. He broke my sports heart a time or two (Cowboy fan) but he turned around the 49ers and built a legacy that will live on forever. R.I.P.

Truly a sad day for the 49ers and the NFL. True class act as a coach and a person!! Some current players and coaches need to learn a lesson from Bill Walsh on how to conduct themselves professionally as Walsh did his entire career!!

Even though this isn't exactly a question, I agree with you. Walsh was to San Fran what Jordan is to Chicago, the Babe was to New York and Hank is to Atlanta. In my opinion, Bill Walsh left behind and even bigger legacy in San Francisco than Willie Mays and even though I'm not a 49ers fan I thank Walsh for the west coast offense and all the coaches he trained who may someday leave legacies of their own. We're gonna miss you Bill.

I'm kinda sad. I'm not one to get upset when someone I don't know personaly dies but, I'm a huge 49er fan and he was the man. He led the 49ers to three superbowl wins. He made that franchise great. He was one of the best coaches of all time and I think football, as a whole, will miss him for that.

his family has my condolences...had marino had his defense and walsh the dolphins defense danny would have won his first super bowl...the 49ers were by far the best team money could buy back tehn...debartolo was crooked as a cat and worked it to perfection...not until the league started to come down on how the team was funded did teh dynasty start to unravel...they were loaded I will give them that.
