I have had this car for 5 years now and the alarm just started going off without anyone touching the car. I got a new batterey a year ago so I am thinking low battery is not an issue here. Does anybody have any idea why it is doing this?

I would suspect the remotes. For test remove the batterys from the remotes.

Are you talking about the little battery in the remote? If you changed it a year ago, and use it often, it could indeed need to be replaced. Replace it, see if it solves the problem. Shelf life of most batteries is not that long, and how long did it sit in the store before you bought it?

Perhaps invisible people are touching your car.
