Make my way to the pub, pretend to be a zombie, and destroy their hearts or remove the head. Shaun of the dead gets it right on.

Really I would just lock my self in as safe a place as possible, and only go out if I ran out of food, or head out to the country, where there would probably be less zombies, even though I would be more open to attack...

The only horror icon in the world that I'm scared of is the Zombie. When I let the dog out for his last wee at bedtime my mind often drifts to your very question. Based on the layout of my house and the position of my car, I think the only answer would be to barricade us all into the bedroom and hope for the best! Oh no you've set me off again. I'm sat here working out if I would have enough time to get food from the kitchen before legging it upstairs.....

I'm just looking in my SAS survival handbook... erm, I have nuclear war, flooding, earthquakes, spetznaz takeover from inserted agents (whoops Cold war is over).. Don't see any stuff on zombies? oh dear.

I'd rewatch 28 days later, dawn of the dead, day of the dead and night of the living dead. My Fav. Zombie films :) Probably I'd get some inspiration from those films..

Erm, to be serious. I'd get in the car and go to the NW Highlands (Scotland). Give it a few years and come back down to England. Nah, I'd stay in Scotland. Zombies don't eat deer after all.

lock up and load up, take them out as fast as i could and if my area was not as highly affected as others i would have to (though it may sound stupid) go out and see who i could help (i know there are people out there who are not as prepared as i... and youre better off in a group, usually), taking out as many as i could while i was out... each zombie you kill reduces the amout of newly infected, if you board up and hide (assuming you do have other options) and let it spread you add to much a problem as the zombies. would you stand by as someone is murdered on the street? i hope not. doing nothing in a zombie outbreak is the same thing, countless others may die (and thus become more zombies that kill and cause more zombies, ect.) due to your inaction. but be sure you have the means, a plan, a plan b, a plan c (maybe even d), a fall back point (incase things do not go according to plan), and enough supplies to do what your planning or you might as well just eat your gun to keep from comming back as one of them.

In short...

PREPARE FOR THE WORST, and hope for the best.

Heck yeah! I've read all of Max Brook's books.

I'm already prepared!

Oh, shaun of the dead only applies to zombie attacks in England. Here, you have to go upstairs and smash the staircase. Walls are good. Cordless drills are bad. Tight clothing, short hair.

It feels as though I deal with zombies every Thursday when I go to the market in Javea, Spain where I live. Shoppers at the market are oblivious to everyone else and I come away with bruises from trolleys being pushed into my legs from every angle.

Yes, I would know exactly what to do. I'm currently sat in my office and we have detailed "in case of zombie attack" plans written up on one of the whiteboards. That's what happens when you work in IT.

Be attacked become a zombie, attack. Oh I would probably hide first but I don't have faith in my hiding ability

I have thought about this a lot after watching movies such as Dawn of the Dead. I guess you do not know until it happens, but I just hope I have lots of guns, ammo and grenades and a high rooftop where they cannot get to
