liked the look and feel better. But I'm getting tired of all the crap I take because of it. Is there any way I could merely trim the hair so that it isn't the bear rug texture it is if I leave it alone? Would a beard trimmer work? BTW, I find it really interesting that almost no one regards leg/body hair as aesthetically pleasing, yet if you do anything about it, you're gay.

Sure you can trim it with clippers, but it won't be as smooth as shaving. But, you should do what you like. Don't let the crap people give you about your body affect how you feel or what you do for yourself. It's your body. I don't particularly care for all that hair either & I would prefer if my husband would trim his, but he doesn't want to. Beside whether you shave, wax, or trim your legs has nothing to do with whether you're gay or straight. Don't let other people's ignorance control your life. Good luck. 2D

Lol. I'm used to guys with hairy legs, so shaved legs look a bit funny, on pale guys at least. But I have this thing called the "Forever Free Wet/Dry" trimmer that works great, and is pain-free.
I'm not sure if it's available in any color other than pink, though. :) A beard trimmer may work better if your hair really is coarse or rough.

First of all I don't shave my legs at all. I think the hair looks nice, and, if someone doesn't like it, too bad.
But if you want to trim the hair to make it less noticable, use an electric razor, but on the opposite side of the shaver. Most electric shavers have two sides. One is the close shave blade or coil. The other side is a trimmer that doesn't shave close. Use that to reduce the length of the leg hair.

It's your choice. Personally I find leg and body hair attractive on a male, and I'm not a big fan of stubble in those areas. In fact, I'm not too fond of leg-shaving myself, I find it irritating. Anyway, you could try a trimmer, or experiment with different things to see how you go. If you are happy shaving it then you should shave it. Only idiots would have a real problem with it.

Honestly it's ridiculous how many things people classify as gay for a guy to do. Dancing, gymnastics, cooking, being a clean freak, showing feelings, being a designer etc. Most these things are actually very good qualities to have, how many girls have complained because a guy can cook or dance? My point is there is nothing wrong with staying well groomed although it does look odd if you have no leg hair a trim is fine. Personally I think hairy toes are kind of gross.

You could.... (about the beard trimmer, I mean) - but quarter-inch leg hair is nasty. It just feels icky! Give it a try, maybe you'll like it, but... uuuugh! :P
If you lived in SoCal you would be totally normal - I came down here from college from the Pacific Northwest (where everyone is hairy monster!) and it's so strange. Guys shave their whole bodies - they're totally hairless, like models. It's weird, walking by an open door and seeing a guy doing his arms...
I'd much rather have a guy with hair, though - that'd be a turn-off for me. But I am from the Northwest!

Personally, I don't mind leg hair as long as you don't look like Bigfoot! :) Try a beard trimmer, I don't know if it will work, but it's worth a shot. And if it does work, you won't have to do it as often as shaving.
And I don't think shaving your legs is "gay" but I would consider you either high maintenance or vain.
