How do you know they were liberals? I went to the question you posted and tried to read it and the answers very thoroughly. You did not describe what they were protesting--the Iraq war? How were they degenerating the sacrifice of your brother? The protesters I know of, like myself, would never attend a soldier's funeral and put up signs, let alone have rally and demonstration. That is absolutely disrespectful.
There is the one religious faction that regularly attends military funerals and heckles the attendees. It's headed by this guy named Fred Phelps. Plain and simply, he's a lunatic who believes our soldiers are dying because we allow homosexuals to live and prosper in America. Perhaps you encountered this group?
