No ! We need a leader who is there for the people and the country and who is a good manager. People are the strength of any country. If you don't have their best interest as the theme of you policies, you are not the person for the job. Even if (heaven forbid) someone we don't like gets elected, the country must pull together or we will fall apart. ~

Aside from his inspiring speech at the DNC, I and probably most everyone else, do not know much about him or what he has done. I like him, but I dont know what qualifies him for leadership of the country. Then again, a slug could have led the country more efficiently over the past 6 years.

If you think America needs an inexperienced cliche spewing feel good self-help guru, than yes.

If you think America needs a firm but just executive that can make hard decisions and face down America's enemies at home and abroad, as well as straighten out our domestic policy, than no, Barrack is not the man.

The "Audacity of Hope," the title itself send shivers of banality down my back. If you want to play a fun game, watch Obama when he shows up on C-Span, CNN, etc. and count every time he says something of actual substance vs. his usual bromides and cliches. You will find there are far more of the latter, than the former. Watch him wiggle as people try to pin him down on an actual stance on an issue versus some feel good rhetoric. It is like watching a magician try to wriggle free from their own cleverly invented trap.

Obama, while probably an intelligent man, is a vapid politician, full of wind and dreams, with no real plan to accomplish anything.

I’m not so sure about Barack. BUT… The U.S. is in despite need of a “Leader”.

We need someone who thinks that we need to use diplomacy and stop this clowning around. The whole idea that we cant talk to a country is like big kids stuck in grade school thinking processes.

America is in need of a leader, that's why we don't need Obama. He has an unmatched ability, even for a politician, to open his mouth, and say absolutely nothing.

I am only now able to glean a little bit of information on what he actually stands for, and it's not very good.

I hope America realizes it needs someone with more experience than a one term senator with no executive experience.

No, because Barack Obama could not BEGIN to provide what this country needs.

He is not experienced enough with national issues, having spent most of his political career in state legislature. And while there he should have focused his attention on educational issues in his district, the conditions of which are deplorable, and he did not do that.

He is an ineffectual leader.
