Why would you want to be popular? Most people hate the popular group in school anyway. Just have fun and don't worry popularity, as long as you have good friends that are there for you who cares really cares about popularity. You won't talk to over half the people after you graduate anyway.

Who cares if you're popular or not? What matters is that you have good friends to hang out with and you get good grades.Plus popularity won't help you at all later in life.

Let me give you some advice...build your own reputation. If you depend on someone else's reputation, you're gonna get in a lot of trouble later on in life and you're gonna wish that person hadn't become your idol. Besides sweetie, popularity is only temporary. So, to answer your question is no. You're not really popular through people who are into one person; you're just part of the crowd.

Honestly--NO. Someone who's popular hangs out with the most outgoing people at school and is always busy hanging out with people. BUT, who the heck cares? Be friends with people for good reasons--popularity is not one of them!

It shouldn't be such a big deal...What makes this person so popular?anyway your best friend hanging out with her might make people know your name and who you are,but (without being there) I wouldn't say that made you popular, but you don't need to be anyway so just be yourself and don't change for anyone :)

What difference does that make? If you have friends, you are popular with them, and that's all that matters.

Who decides who is "popular?" Is it a contest or something?

It shouldn't matter. Be yourself, work hard, get good grades, make friends with people you really like. It doesn't matter about the popularity. That shouldn't overtake your whole purpose in life.

Good luck.

What difference does it really make??? Be happy with yourself and your friends no matter who they associate with. Your social status should not define you. You should define yourself and create your own existance within your academic community. Don't allow yourself to be so weak that you have to fall in line with the things that everyone else is doing. You should not be concerned with conforming to others around you just to fit in. Be a leader, not a follower.

Don't worry about being popular, worry about getting your education and the best grades that you can. Being popular isn't going to help you after you graduate.
