The most important thing when looking for a vitamin to take is the quality of the product. It's important to do at least a little research into whatever company you want to buy from and ask the manufacturer/distributor specifically how they can backup their quality.
Another important thing for the doses in general, multivitamins are most beneficial if you spread the doses out between 2 times in the day (1 in the morning, 1 in the evening) so your body can absorb it better.
Calcium is the biggest one that's a problem if you only take it once. Specifically, your body can only absorb and use up to 600 mg of calcium at any given point in time. Because of that, if you get 1000 mg of Calcium in 1 dose, your body can't use at least 400 mg of that, and that Calcium may go somewhere else in your body and get stored there (which is a common cause for kidney stones).

Some are some aren't...Stick with the basics or you will spend lots of money ..I use specific things for the most troubling symptoms like fatigue sometimes sleep deprivation and allergies...
A good balance in food and throw in some junk once in while
along side of exercise and a good vitamin and mineral supplement should do the trick...Only treat certain things when needed with herbs directed toward your troubles..I think some people go over the top and over medicate themselves!
There are so many companies it is hard to say what's best .I have tried many brands and companies to find that Trader Joes , health center for better living out of Florida and a good health food store serves my purpose the best....Good luck!

The bottom line is that quality is king.
MOST dietary supplements are made from synthetic, often petroleum derived chemicals which are not bioavailable. If you are going to supplement (which the American Medical Association even suggests that ALL people do), make sure you supplement with a 100% food based supplement.
In the end though, dietary supplements are intended to supplement, not substitute, the benefits of a good diet.

I personally am a firm believer in herbal and i stopped all chemical medicines. I use olive leaf extract, it does wonders for me. it not only relived me of my viral infection symptoms,. but helped with my anxiety, more energy. I feel I can concentrate.
Also if you want to increase energy, its all about Oxygen.
Oxygen is found in air, water, fruits, veggies. increase levels of oxygen in your body and your cells will be healthier and you can function better. sufficient level of oxygen to your brain will in crease alertness and concentration.
