Allergic to eggs - i asked where you are from because not all countries practise tipping

Originally from England. Since I 've been in on and or around sailboats I'm not very tipsy- I have my "sea legs".
Yes, I tip very well for good service. If the service is inexcusabley poor- I will not tip. If the meal is horrid, I will not eat it. I will speak to manangement and leave in search of better eateries.

average tip depends on service, but normally 20%. Awful service, less than 10% to make a point; exception service 25% or so.
I've worked in the industry - I know everyone depends on those tips. Plus, when I go back to a place, I'm treated very well. ☺

Ontario, Canada. We have a favourite place in town called Montana's.
We tip at least 15% because the food, service and the people are
awesome!!

I've lived 19 years in New York City and 12 years in Los Angeles. I grade you, then tip you. Quality and speed of service is very important to me. If you're exceptional, I'll go over the 15-18% by another buck or two.

I always tip 20% and if they are really good I always make a point to tell their manager what a good job they did.
I was a waitress for a while and that's a tough job - they deserve recognition.I

Kuala Lumpur..normally if the food has been billed including the service charge i don't tip.
On the other hand if it's good service, i would give an average 10%.

Im from California....I usually tip between 15-25%....sometimes more if the service is right. If they service is slow and such I tip about 10%.
