Please help, do the electronic mouse/rat pest repellants work?
I have a severe fear of rodents dead or alive so it wouldn't work for me to set traps because I would be unable to pick up the dead rodents.

YES, happy day.

My sister lives in the country in Tennessee and had a large rodent problem when she first moved in. Her friend down the road told her about the electronic rodent devices and told her to read the instructions and place them accordingly.

They worked. And have continued to work. Within two weeks time her rodent problems were gone and have not returned.

She did however get one in her house when the time lapsed on her device and she did not know it.

It took a couple of days and the new mouse was gone.

My daughter tried them (she counted 15 mice in her house) when she moved in and within about 2-3 weeks her investation was gone.

PLEASE read the instructions. I was told that if you put two within the area of space that one can control they block each other out and won't work.

I just wish they had these things for the outdoors. We don't have indoor rodent problems but we do get an occasional rat now and then. Thank god my dog is a great hunter.

I understand your fear. I like mice & have had pet rats, but the ones in the pet store tend to be cleaner & less likely to carry diseases. I don't know about the electronic devices, but I know one thing that people might suggest that I would advise you NOT to do. Don't get a cat. Or at least don't get one hoping it will solve your mouse problem. Yes, the cats will kill the mice & sometimes they will eat them, but it isn't really good for the cat to eat mice that might be carrying rabies or fleas & could have been poisoned by neighbors. Plus the cats don't always eat the mice, & worse.. they don't always eat all of them. Sorry I couldn't give you a more helpful answer but I hope this helps your process of elimination on what NOT to do

they send electrical impulses round your home that interrupt their "find my way around" sense and keep them away. Yes they do work but don't be fooled into buying a cheap one because that will be less effective. And be sure you don't use one if you have cats/dogs etc at home because it would harm them"!

Check out the link below for an example and explanation of what they do!

Why do you fear rodents so if you don't mind me asking? I have a pet mouse and he's the sweetest little thing. I am scared of spiders though so wouldn't like it if you had a pet tarantula!!
