That's a big goldfish tank!

If your fish are new, they're probably still adjusting to being moved to a new home. Try not to disturb them too much, and this includes constantly watching the tank up close - they may just see you as a possible predator right now! In a day or so when they figure out you're a source of food and not a threat to them, they'll probably come out more often.

If this is a new tank, and you've just recently added all these fish, you'll want to watch for signs of ammonia poisoning, one of which can be sitting on the bottom and being lethargic. Eventually, your tank won't be able to hold all these fish.

well fist what kind
fancy goldfish or common goldfish
and if they are common goldfish are technically feeder goldfish that you took on at pets or where they just as pets when you got them
fancy kind will get yous to you
and the coomon are usually very jittery
and do check the tank with test strips it could be to much a ammonia that are stessing out your fish and making them afraid of you

dont worry they are at that stage where they are scared n stuff. they will recognize you in time and if you get closer to them then they can see you and be willing to come out of their hiding spot =D
