it's not my homework... i'm just a dork who didn't understand Blackhawk down (the movie)... so I figured I'd ask to get history and whatnot before I watch it again.... (I saw it because Josh Hartnett was in it... and now I am interested in what really happened). But thanks for having faith in 18 year olds of the world... because to such older and wiser more mature MEN like yourself (second guy who responded) us "kids" are horrible and so out of touch with the world and politics and would never ACTUALLY want to learn. And since you hold yourself as so high and mighty... and presumptuous would know or in your case assume because it seems like you do that a lot... that I'm being sarcastic and what I'm saying is to not assume that I'm not interested in the U.S. invasion of Somalia. Basically, what you said is very insulting to me. Thanks for nothing.

can you tell that I hate it when old people think that all young people are close minded to the world and its affairs? gah.

No, i think of you're incorrect. this is not a conspiracy. Obama gave the army permission to kill the Somalia bastards and the army did it. They saved the captain. Now if Obama is speaking approximately going into Somalia and decrease out the main cancers on the source, i'm prepared on that. exciting however how his supporters seem effective with going after thugs, tyrannts, terrorist...in spite of you call those Somalians, yet they weren't for it till now. properly, they have been staggering after 9/11 for in basic terms extremely.

A nasty incident in Mogadishu saw US forces pull out. We did lose 19 soldiers, but killed about 1,000 militants. The operation was botched from the start, we ran right into a hornet's nest.

Black Hawk Down is a good movie depicting events, but it's not entirely accurate.

The US ignored the UN, used excessive force on civilians, the Somali's got very angry, and then the US had to be rescued by Pakistan, who actually were cooperating with everybody else.

Of course it was all the UN's fault...nothing to do with the US being to clever to listen to anybody else.

Part of it was dramatized in the movie "Blackhawk Down" we got ambushed and it was a bad military defeat.

Clinton would not give our troops the armor they requested. Instead he left them out to dry.

If he is any inkling of how the clinton loath the military imagine how hillary will leave them out to dry.
